Leinster player cited for incident with Munster's Coombes in interpro

Leinster and Ireland prop Tadhg Furlong has been cited for an incident with Munster’s Gavin Coombes
LEINSTER and Ireland star Tadhg Furlong could be facing a long band after being cited following an incident during their game with URC clash with Munster on Saturday evening.
Just before half time, Coombes alleged that his testicles had been grabbed but no sanction for Furlong took place despite referee Andrew Brace bringing attention to the incident to Television Match Official (TMO) Colin Stanley. No evidence of foul play was found at the time.
However, the citing commissioner at the game, Peter Ferguson, has decided that Furlong may have a case to answer. The URC released the following statement to media this Monday afternoon,
“Leinster Rugby's Tadhg Furlong has been cited for an incident that occurred in the 37th minute of the United Rugby Championship Round 4 fixture at the Aviva Stadium against Munster Rugby on Saturday, October 24.
“The Citing Commissioner in charge has made a complaint about an act of foul play by the Player (Tadhg Furlong No 3) against opponent Gavin Coombes (No 8).
“The Player has been cited under Law 9.27 – A player must not do anything that is against the spirit of good sportsmanship including but not limited to grabbing, twisting or squeezing the genitals.
“Arrangements for the disciplinary process are currently in progress and will be announced in due course.”
If found guilty, Furlong could face a lengthy ban that could see him miss Ireland’s Autumn Internationals and Leinster’s next Champions Cup fixture.
