THREE sides remain unbeaten in the Nick Grene Sportsground Intermediate Hurling Championship with two rounds remaining in the round robin stage.

Feenagh-Kilmeedy, Bruree and Premier Junior ‘A’ champions Knockaderry are all on six points and are poised to make the knockout stage.

At the other end of the table, South Liberties are staring down the barrel of a third relegation in a row. The side who competed in the Senior Hurling Championship as recently as 2024 suffered a third defeat on the spin on Thursday night.

St Kieran’s, Mungret-St Paul’s second string and Hospital-Herbertstown are also yet to get off the mark in the third tier competition.

Liberties have a huge east Limerick derby with Pallasgreen in Cappamore on Thursday night.

The other games in Group 1 see Cappamore take on Feenagh-Kilmeedy on Friday in Kilmallock while the following day in Newcastle West, Feohanagh meet St Kieran’s.

All Group 1 games throw in at 6.15pm.

In Group 2, there is a crucial battle at the foot of the table between Mungret-St Pauls and Hospital-Herbertstown. Caherconlish will host the 2pm throw-in on Saturday.

There are two games on Sunday at 1pm - south rivals Bruree and Knockainey meet in Bruff while Na Piarsaigh face Knockaderry in Croom.

In the Woodlands House Hotel, Premier Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship, Monaleen lead the way in Group 1 after inflicting a first defeat of the campaign on Tournafulla. Castletown-Ballyagran got their second win over the group, edging Croom by a point in Ballingarry.

Elsewhere in the group, Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan and Kilmallock played out a remarkable 4-17 apiece draw.

Group 2 sees Caherline with a 100% record after victory over Crecora-Manister. Cathal O’Neill’s side remain in the play-off places, sitting just above Doon.

In the Woodlands House Hotel Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship, Ballybricken-Bohermore are the only unbeaten side left. They face Kildimo-Pallaskenry on Sunday as they look to take a step closer to a direct route to the semi-final.
