Bottoms up! Limerick and Clare Wine Lovers Club launch in the Savoy Hotel. Celia Holman Lee pictured with Liz Mangan, Nick O’Callaghan and Susan O’Mara
THE SAVOY in the heart of Limerick City is now home to a monthly members only wine event, which I had the pleasure of attending the launch of this week.
The club is called Limerick and Clare Wine Lovers Club, founded by Michelin star Sommelier Nick O’Callaghan - a Limerick native and a dear friend of mine.
I so enjoyed attending the launch and I personally think that this wine club is a wonderful addition to the city, continuing on a monthly basis in the gorgeous Savoy hotel.
Nick’s knowledge is admirable as he has travelled all over Europe and beyond, studying in a wine tasting capacity. I hope that the people of Limerick will support and embrace this new club. You can contact the Savoy for more details.
Clarins in the capital
I also attended the Clarins event in the capital this week, where I enjoyed being in the company of many famous faces, including Limerick’s very own Louise Cooney.
Clarins is an international makeup brand who have now opened their Boutique and Spa in Wicklow St, Dublin City where they are offering treatments and products for purchase.

I was delighted to have met many of Ireland’s fabulous bloggers again including James Patrice and Holly Carpenter. It is such a joy to see these young faces exploring the world of beauty and fashion, just as I did at their age.
Clarins is a French makeup company who retails all over Ireland and I had been cordially invited to the event by none other than Dr Olivier Courtin Clarins - son of the founder of Clarins makeup.
Dr Olivier Courtin Clarins said a few words today for the launch, as did French Ambassador to Ireland Vincent Guérend.
I was honoured and overjoyed when he mentioned about being in Limerick at a fashion show that I had hosted in St Mary’s Cathedral last year, which combined French and Irish designers.
I look forward to discussing with you all next week my latest endeavours,
Love, XxCelia
