Ireland weather forecast pinpoints date for 22C sun blast amid stunning weather u-turn
Ireland's weather fortunes will change this week with the arrival of high pressure and temperatures in the low 20s.
Forecaster Cathal Nolan from Ireland's Weather Channel says: "High pressure will be the dominant feature this week with the high pressure steering in a mostly south to southeasterly flow across the country.
"This will ensure Ireland experiences warmer conditions than the week just gone by, with mostly dry settled weather throughout."
Cathal added: "Temperatures will be on the rise this week with values widely reaching into the high teens or low twenties, with some areas by Thursday or Friday seeing highs of up to 22 degrees Celsius where sunshine persists. It will always be a little cooler close to the coast.
