According to Met Éireann, Sunday morning will be generally dry with occasional sunny spells, though it will be duller in the south and southeast.
A band of rain will push into the west before midday, spreading eastwards across the country in the afternoon and evening.
It will be breezy at first with fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds, strongest in the west and northwest, easing and veering northwesterly later in the day.
It will be mild with the highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
Tonight, nationally, rain will continue in the south and east but dry conditions and clear spells will develop in the north and west. It will be cold with the lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees with winds easing light to moderate northwesterly.
