Met Éireann have issued a Status Orange wind warning for 22 counties, including Limerick ahead of Storm Isha.
The warning has been issued at 9am this Saturday morning, and will be valid from 5pm Sunday, January 21, to 5am Monday, January 22.
All counties except those in the centre of the country will be affected, with the warning issued for Carlow, Dublin, Kilkenny, Longford, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, and all counties in Munster and Connacht.
Met Éireann have advised that "very strong southwest to west winds with severe and damaging gusts" will bring "very difficult travelling conditions", and a risk of fallen trees and damaged power lines.
Coastal counties may also see "large coastal waves with wave overtopping", and a Status Yellow gale warning for all Irish coastal waters and the Irish Sea is also currently in place.
