THE Treaty United Men's side will be looking to bounce back this Friday night when they host Longford Town at the Markets Field.

The Shannonsiders will be looking to bounce back from last week's heartbreaking 3-2 defeat to Wexford FC in Ferrycarrig Park.

Tommy Barrett's charges currently sit at the foot of the First Division table, with the ‘Super Blues’ sitting on five points after seven games.

Treaty face a Longford Town side who sit just one point above them in the First Division table, a win on Friday night for the Limerick side would see them leap-frog their Midlands-based opponents.

Longford, like Treaty, have endured a patchy start to the new season, registering a solitary win, three draws and three losses.

The latest result for Wayne Groves' side was a 1-1 draw against Kerry FC in Tralee last Friday.

Longford had the upper hand on Treaty last season, winning three of the four league meetings last year.

Treaty's only win did come at the Markets Field in what was a resounding 5-1 win thanks to goals from Lee Devitt (2), Lee J Lynch, Trimir Vrljicak and Yoyo Mahdy.

Treaty will be hoping for a similar result on Friday night at the Markets Field. The match will be broadcast live on LOITV.
