FORMER Treaty United midfielder Lee J Lynch has signed for Limerick's Fairview Rangers, the Garryowen-based club have announced. 

Lynch, who signed for Treaty in 2024, made 35 appearances for the club in his time with the 'Super Blues' departed Markets Field in January of this year following a one-year spell with the club. 

Lynch was appointed as Managing Director of Limerick FC as well as head-coach of Limerick FC's men's U17 team in December. 

Lynch began his career in Limerick with appearances for Roxboro United, Janesboro FC and Regional United, as well as representing the LDSL in the Kennedy Cup.

He also won two All-Ireland senior schools titles with CBS Sexton Street.

He moved to cross channel to England in 2008 when signing with West Bromwich Albion.

He spent time in Spain with Jerez Industrial before returning to Ireland to sign for Drogheda United, where his performances earned him the Fans’ Player of the Year award in 2011.

A move to Sligo Rovers followed, where he won the League of Ireland Premier Division in 2012 and the FAI Cup in 2013. He later signed for St Patrick’s Athletic, winning the 2015 President’s Cup.

He also had time at Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Premiership, which was bookended by two periods with Limerick FC, where he played a key role in the SuperBlues' promotion to the Premier Division in 2016 and was named in the League of Ireland Team of the Year and voted Fans’ Player of the Year.

Following his second spell with Limerick FC, Lee J returned to Sligo Rovers before signing for Larne, helping the club win the 2019 NIFL Championship and two County Antrim Shields. He then moved to Coleraine and later Treaty United.
