Ben made his Treaty United debut in February in a Munster Senior Cup Quarter-Final tie against Waterford FC and scored his first goal for the club just over a month later as Treaty put five past Athlone Town.

He went on to make a total of 38 appearances in 2025, playing a pivotal role on the left side of defence as the club reached the First Division Playoff Final for the first time.

Senior Men’s manager Tommy Barrett was pleased to retain Ben for 2026 after a great first year with the club:

“Ben has been a really good addition for us with almost 40 appearances in 2025, and we think he can kick on next year and become a leader in the group. He has a lot of good attributes and is one of the better full-backs in the First Division. We hope to see him improve even further next season.”

Ben Lynch becomes the latest re-signing for the 2026 season, joining Ben Lee who signed a multi-year deal in 2024.

Treaty United have also confirmed that Trpimir Vrljičak, Valerii Dolia and Matt Boylan have departed the Senior Men’s squad ahead of 2026.

Trpimir Vrljičak joined the club in July of 2024 and went on to make 39 appearances for the club over eighteen months, recording six goals and five assists in that time.

Valerii Dolia signed for Treaty United ahead of the 2025 season, making his debut in a Munster Senior Cup victory over Temple United in January. He departs the club having made nine appearances.

Matt Boylan joined in July and made his debut the following month away to Finn Harps. He leaves the club having made three appearances, keeping one clean sheet in a memorable late victory over UCD in September.
