Tommy Barrett's side were beaten by a resilient Finn Harps last Friday at the Markets Field, a result which will disappointed the Shannonsiders as they were enduring a rich vein of form in the lead-up to their clash with the Donegal side.

It was a frustrating night for Treaty who had much of the ball but were unable to find that golden touch into the back of Corey Sheridan's net.

Gradi Loboto's 75th minute strike was enough to give the away side all three points on the night, a result which now sets up a crucial clash with UCD.

With Treaty dropping points and UCD picking up a win away to Longford last week, both sides now sit level on points (29) heading into Friday night's clash. Tommy Barrett will be hoping for a repeat of the side's last meeting in May, where Treaty ran out 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Lee Devitt (2), Karl O'Sullivan and Trpimir Vrljicak.

Both sides come into the game with identical records after 21 games played. Eight wins, five draws and eight defeats each.
Although there is still a long to go in the season, this does feel like a significant tie for Treaty who can really lay down a marker if they were to get all three points in what is a ‘six -pointer’, with both sides level on points and seeking an elusive play-off berth.

Speaking in the aftermath of last Friday's game, manger Tommy Barrett was under no illusions as to how tough the UCD challenge will be.

"Every game is difficult, we know how difficult it will be to go up to UCD, it will be really tough, it's a really tough place to go,” he said.

"They're playing really well the last few weeks as well, this last week in particular. They're a really good side and we've to up there and get something or grind something out,” he added.

Kick-off this tonight is at 7.45pm and it will be available to watch on LOI TV.
