Mark Walsh netted Treaty United's goal in their exciting 1-1 draw away to Dundalk in First Division on Friday
RESILIENT Treaty United secured a dramatic 1-1 draw away to Dundalk to maintain their unbeaten record against the runaway league leaders at sun-drenched Oriel Park in the SSE Airtricity League First Division on Friday evening.
An 87th minute Harry Groome goal looked certain to have sealed the three points for the Lilywhites, but for the second time this season in Oriel Park, the Shannonsiders popped up with an injury-time equaliser, with Mark Walsh netting his fourth-ever goal for the club.
Tommy Barrett's gritty Treaty United side were good value for the point they secured on the road.

Dundalk started with intent, but their early dominance only resulted in one clear chance, with Dean Ebbe going close from a Harry Groome cross in the sixth minute. Treaty were content to sit back and stay tight, attacking on the break and through set pieces.
In the 13th minute, powerful defender Richkov Boevi forced a good save from Enda Minogue in the Dundalk goal as he got his head on the end of a Lee Devitt corner.
Eoin Kenny, son of former Dundalk and Rep of Ireland manager Stephen, found himself inside the Treaty box on the half-hour.
As he turned onto his right foot, he had the goals at his mercy, but he scuffed his effort wide.

Nine minutes from half-time, Groome delivered a low cross towards Kenny, but Corey Chambers bravely dived to collect the ball amid a clatter of boots in the six-yard box as the team went in scoreless at the break.
Eleven minutes after the restart, Sean McHale went close for the home side as his header looped narrowly over the Treaty crossbar. A moment later Lee Devitt would go close for the visitors as he flashed his shot narrowly wide from Scott Murphy's pass.
In the 59th minute, Karl O’Sullivan’s half volley deflected agonisingly close before Lee Devitt whipped the resulting corner off the crossbar.
Ten minutes later, Niko Kozlowski missed a glorious opportunity as he latched onto a loose back pass from Sean McHale, but with the goal at his mercy, he shot his effort wide.
In the 74th minute, Leo Gaxha and Kenny combined to put the former through on goal. Having beaten Chambers, his shot looked destined to ripple the back of the net, but he dragged it inches wide.
Then in the 86th minute, Groome looked to have snatched the win for the home side. Andy Paraschiv drove into the box after the Shannonsiders failed to properly deal with a corner. He teed up Groome, who unleashed a thunderbolt into the back of the net.
However, just 90 seconds from the end of additional time, the visitors responded emphatically as Mark Walsh got on the end of a low Mahdy cross to toe poke his effort home to the delight of the small travelling contingent.
Next up, Treaty welcome play-off rivals Wexford to the Market’s Field on Monday evening, 7.45pm. Meanwhile, Dundalk will make the trip to Ballybofey to take on Finn Harps.
