TREATY United will look to make it back-to-back wins in the SSE Airtricity League First Division on Friday night when travelling to Ballybofey to face Finn Harps, 7.45pm.

Treaty returned to winning ways in the First Division with a precious 1-0 victory over Athlone Town at the Markets Field on Friday night.

Yoyo Mahdy’s strike, 19 minutes from time, proved decisive as Tommy Barrett’s men ended a three-match winless streak in front of an attendance of 1,033.

Friday night's win over Athlone sees Treaty sit in fifth place in the First Division table as the battle to secure a promotion play-off position intensifies. Treaty are level on points with sixth-placed UCD and sit two points behind fourth-placed Wexford.

Treaty won their last meeting with Finn Harps 3-1 back in February but Treaty boss Barrett is expecting a difficult challenge from the Donegal-based side this week. “Two tough away games ahead but we’ll just take one at a time,” said Barrett.

“We look forward to Finn Harps next week, they’re on a bit of a run. I think (Friday night against Cobh Ramblers) was their first loss in about seven games.

“We know how good they are and the threat they pose particularly from set pieces. It’s always a tough place to go.”
