Treaty United's Senior Women’s Team home game against Athlone Town in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division on Saturday, September 14 in the Markets Field has been chosen for Live coverage by broadcaster TG4.

As a result, the kick off time for the game will be moved to 7.35PM. This is the second time that the TG4 cameras will visit
the Garryowen venue with last season's clash against Shamrock Rovers also broadcast to a nationwide audience on terrestrial TV.

Treaty United and Athlone Town have met recently in the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup Quarter Final at the same venue. After a really close encounter, which the home side dominated for long stretches, it was the visitors who emerged 2-1 winners. The tie
will mark Dominic Foley side’s fourth game in 15 days as they go through a very busy period in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.

Treaty United manager, Dominic Foley, is really looking forward to the tie. “First of all, I’m delighted that we get the opportunity to showcase the Markets Field and the team to a national audience. There are lots of volunteers who work on the pitch andthe grounds to have it looking so well so it will be great for people to be able to see that.

"This game against Athlone Town is one of a number of games that we will be involved in that will have a bearing on the league title. This weekend we are away to Shelbourne, then Athlone on the 14 while we welcome Galway United to the Markets Field on the second last game of the season. So, we could have a big impact in the title race.”

"We’d love to have people come along to the Markets Field for the game but if you can't make it, this is an opportunity to have a look at all that's good in Senior Women’s League of Ireland football at the moment.”

This game is part of a busy weekend for the club with the Senior Men’s Team in action the previous evening in the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Quarter Final against Wexford FC in Ferrycarrig Park.
