TREATY United return to action in the SSE Airtricity League First Division this Saturday evening when facing struggling Longford Town at Bishopsgate, 7.30pm.
Treaty looked all set to inflict a rare defeat on runaway First Division leaders Cork City on Friday night at the Markets Field only for the Leesiders to dramatically rescue a point through a 98th-minute goal from Charlie Lyons.
Treaty had been leading their Munster rivals since the 46th minute of the game after Mark Byrne had given the hosts the lead.
The result sees Treaty United in eighth-place in the table, five points off Finn Harps who occupy the final promotion play-off place.
Following Friday night's game said recording a draw with leaders Cork City wouldn't matter much if Treaty can't overcome struggling Longford.
Barrett said: “There’s no point in getting a result here tonight if we don’t get a win against Longford. It’ll be a tough game, but we know that we have to be at our best to win.”
“We’re disappointed with tonight but well come back next week and lift the spirits and kick on. We know that we need to bring that high energy like we did tonight into every game and if we do that we’ll give ourselves a good chance.”
