Treaty United women's side had a convincing 9-0 victory over Ferns United in the first round of the FAI Cup in the Markets Field on Saturday last.

Goals came from Katie Lawlee, Delana Friesen, Danielle Steer, Ciara Griffin, Anna Rockett, Erin Van Dolder, Caleigh Boeckx and Hannah Saidi.

Treaty United will now face Athlone FC in the quarter-final of the Women's FAI Cup. There was more good news to emerge from the Treaty United camp as former Limerick camogie goalie Laura O'Neill made her Treaty United debut during the FAI Cup game after a long-term injury at the start of the season sent her to the sidelines.

After their big Cup win, Treaty now return to action in the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division as they host Bohemian FC at Markets Field this Saturday, August 10 at 5pm. Treaty will be hoping that their big Cup win will provide momentum for Saturday.
