TREATY United have announce yet another signing this week as the men's team welcome Chris Horgan to the squad ahead of their vital SSE Airtricity League First Division fixture this Friday evening against Finn Harps at 7.45pm in the Markets Field.

Horgan joins Tommy Barrett’s squad after a spell away from the League of Ireland while studying abroad. Chris comes from a family steeped in League of Ireland football with his brothers Colm, Kevin, and most notably Irish International Daryl all having played in the league. 

The 24 year-old is capable on the right side of defence and midfield, Horgan played at underage level with Salthill Devon and Galway United before making his senior debut with the latter in July of 2018. Chris made 54 appearances for Galway across four seasons, helping the Tribesmen to the FAI Cup Quarter Final in 2019 as well as reaching the promotion playoffs in both 2020 and 2021.

Speaking to TreatyUnitedFC.com, Senior Men’s team manager Tommy Barrett was happy to have added further depth to his squad for the second half of the season: “Chris is another young player with experience and has been studying and playing in the Netherlands for a few years. He brings a good level of professionalism and energy to the group which will help us moving forward.”

This is Treaty's second signing this week after all ready announcing that 22 year-old defender Jack Kavanagh would also join the Limerick team.
