TREATY United will look to make it back-to-back wins in the SSE Airtricity League First Division this Thursday evening when travelling to Ferrycarrig Park to face Wexford FC, 7.45pm.
Treaty re-igned their promotion play-off hopes in the First Division when easing past Bray Wanderers 2-0 in a crucial win at the Markets Field on Friday night.
A second victory in three league fixtures saw eighth-placed Treaty United side move to within seven points of the promotion play-off places, the final one of which is occupied by Bray Wanderers.
This came off the back of impressive draws away to Cobh and Cork and a 1-0 victory over Longford.
The only blip in the last five games was a disappointing away loss to Kerry.
Treaty took the lead against Bray on 35 minutes when Yousef Mahdy was on hand to tap in the rebound after Mark Byrne’s shot that hit the post to make it 1-0. Treaty doubled their lead 10 minutes into the second half as Robbie Lynch flicked in his first goal for the Limerick-based side. It was Lynch's first senior goal.
He was also included in the SSE Airtricity Men's First Division Team of the Week along with fellow goalscorer Mahdy and Treaty team manager Tommy Barrett. Thursday night's opponents Wexford FC are five points and two places above Treaty in the table.
Meanwhile, Treaty Utd have been drawn at home to Leinster Senior League side Kilbarrack United in the Sports Direct Men's FAI Cup second round on week-ending July 21.
