Munster Schools Cup fever takes hold with Thomond Park double header

Thomond Park hosts a double header of Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Cup action this Tuesday afternoon

THOMOND Park plays hosts to an attractive double header of Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Cup games this Tuesday afternoon. In the day's opening fixture, local rivals Ardscoil Ris and Castletroy College face-off in an attractive Munster Schools Junior Cu quarter-final at 1.30pm.

The game will be followed by the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup quarter-final replay clash of holders Glenstal Abbey School and Bandon Grammar School at 3.30pm.

There is also Junior Cup quarter-final action on tomorrow, Wednesday, as Crescent College Comprehensive travel to Musgrave Park to take on Bnadon Grammar School, 2.45pm. 

Crescent defeated Glenstal Abbey 15-5 in their opening round game.

The Junior Cup quarter-finals will be completed on this Friday, March 1 when holders St Munchin's College take on CBC, of Cork, in a repeat of last season's final.
