Three Limerick players on Ireland U-18 Clubs side

THREE Limerick-based players have been included on the Ireland U18 Clubs side which will take on Portugal in Lisbon in an international fixture on Saturday, 5pm.

The Ireland team will be captained by Young Munster centre Evan O’Gorman of Young Munster, while his clubmate Conor Hayes will fill the full-back berth.

The U-18 Clubs side will also feature Garryowen’s Harry Byrne at out-half.

The 23 man side has six players from Munster six from Leinster, six Exiles, four from Connacht and one from Ulster.

The team gathered together in camp in King's Hospital on Monday, before departing for Portugal today, Thursday.

The side is coached by former Springbok scrum-half Dan Van Zyl and he will have Brendan O'Connor as Assistant Coach. The side will be managed by Dermot Kelly.
