Relegated Brackley finally ended a 14-game winless streak under manager Andy Whing as they defeated Aldershot 2-1.
It was Brackley’s final home match before exiting the National League and they finally gave their fans something to cheer, despite a late scare.
The Saints took the lead after just seven minutes when Morgan Roberts took aim from outside the box and had enough to beat Coniah Boyce-Clarke.
There were chances at both ends before a late finish from Connor Hall, giving the hosts enough leeway to survive Matthew Penney’s long-rage effort in the seventh minute of injury-time.
