Chanka Zimba brace versus Peterhead sends Inverness three points clear at summit

Chanka Zimba scored twice to send Inverness three points clear at the top of the Scottish League One table with a 3-1 win over Peterhead.

Caley Thistle were level with Stenhousemuir at kick-off but opened up a gap with a confident display, Zimba netting either side of Jordan Alonge as the hosts flexed their muscles.

Kieran Shanks responded for Peterhead but that was the start and the end of their attempted comeback.

In League Two Spartans overtook East Kilbride at the summit after a 1-0 win over Forfar Athletic.

Marc McNulty converted a penalty on the stroke of half-time to seal the result and send the Edinburgh side top by a point.
