Jack Stevens’ brace earns Oldham victory against Crawley

A goal in each half from Jack Stevens fired Oldham to 2-0 home win against struggling Crawley.

Stevens’ brace secured Latics a third win in a row and condemned Crawley to their 11th defeat on the road.

Town arrived at Boundary Park with the worst away record in League Two and showed little sign of improving that statistic in a first half that belonged to Oldham.

Stevens’ first was from close range in the 38th minute, converting a Jake Caprice cross at the far post.

His second was all of his own making, collecting a headed clearance from a Crawley free-kick and running from his own half to finish clinically past Chapman.
