Leaders Bromley stretch unbeaten League Two run to 14 games with Cheltenham draw

Leaders Bromley made it 14 games unbeaten in League Two but had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham.

The game got off to a lightning-quick start with Isaac Hutchinson shooting wide from 20 yards inside the opening two minutes. That effort woke Bromley up and they promptly took the lead with their first shot on target in the fourth minute.

Mitch Pinnock benefited from a ricochet to curl home beyond Joe Day from a tight angle.

One nearly became two moments later but Day did brilliantly to deny Ben Thompson’s diving header.

Cheltenham got the equaliser they deserved midway through the half, with Hutchinson slotting home after excellent wing play from Jordan Thomas.

With the game increasingly developing an end-to-end feel, Ben Krauhaus headed inches wide as Bromley threatened to retake the lead.

Two minutes from time Nicke Kabamba and Michael Cheek forced good saves from Day while in stoppage time Jake Bickerstaff was denied as both teams had to settle for a point.
