Corey Blackett-Taylor scored on his debut as promotion-chasing Bolton beat League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon 1-0 at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
Bolton took the lead in the 13th minute when John McAtee broke down the right before picking out Blackett-Taylor with a peach of a pass.
Blackett-Taylor, who only joined the Trotters on loan from Derby on Thursday, made no mistake, firing the ball into the bottom right corner to put his side ahead.
Jake Reeves blasted a long-range shot over the crossbar as the Dons went on the hunt for an equaliser.
McAtee could have made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute when he went through on goal after pouncing on a loose pass, but his effort was straight at Dons goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.
Alistair Smith’s close-range header flew just wide of the right post as the Dons made a strong start to the second half.
Steve Seddon got on the end of a flick on before putting the ball behind for a goal kick, and a stoppage-time corner caused a chaotic melee in the penalty area.
However, the visitors survived the storm, leaving Wimbledon without a win at home in the league since September.
