Matthew Dennis netted a 66th-minute winner just seconds after coming off the bench as Notts County came from behind to beat Sky Bet League Two promotion rivals Swindon 2-1.
Dennis capped a fine move down the Magpies’ left to beat Connor Ripley at his near post, after Alassana Jatta’s equaliser a minute before the break had cancelled out Ollie Clarke’s opener.
Robins captain Clarke hammered his side into the lead against the run of play in the 39th minute with a sweet half-volley into the top corner from 18 yards.
However, the Magpies were back on level terms just five minutes later when Jodi Jones’ free-kick was headed on by Jacob Bedeau and Jatta bundled the ball over the line.
A dominant County also saw Jodi Jones’ powerful effort strike the bar, while Jatta’s glancing header from Nick Tsaroulla’s cross was superbly saved by Ripley before the break.
Dennis was also sharply stopped from adding a third by Ripley on the stroke of added time, but his earlier breakthrough was enough for County to claim three points.
