Lorent Tolaj’s hat-trick helped Plymouth thrash Doncaster 5-1 and power out of the League One relegation zone.
Owen Oseni and substitute Xavier Amaechi also netted to secure a third straight victory for Tom Cleverley’s side, who came from behind after Brandon Hanlan gave Rovers an early lead.
Doncaster dominated the early stages with Hanlan turning in Luke Molyneux’s low delivery after four minutes.
Tolaj equalised with Plymouth’s first attack on 11 minutes after stealing the ball from George Broadbent and finishing well.
A quickfire double put Plymouth in command midway through the half. Oseni received a lay-off from Tolaj on the edge of the box and lashed in at the near post on 22 minutes.
And moments after the restart, the lead was extended as Tolaj was sent racing clean through before slotting home.
Plymouth were in full control after the break and pushed further ahead when Tolaj netted from the spot after Oseni was brought down by Rovers keeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala.
And Amaechi wrapped up proceedings in the 88th minute as he pounced on a loose ball in the box.
