Carlisle conceded a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Eastleigh and surrender top spot in the Enterprise National League.
Junior Luamba’s goal early in the second half looked set to keep Mark Hughes’ men ahead of closest rivals Forest Green and Rochdale, but Keenan Evans’ 88th-minute leveller dropped them back to third.
Georgie Kelly went close for the hosts in the 39th minute when he met a cross from the right, but his effort came back off the goal frame.
Luamba broke the deadlock in the 50th minute, finishing from Chris Conn-Clarke’s ball in from the right after Harvey Macadam had done well to win back possession.
But Evans rescued a point for Eastleigh, converting calmly after a neat one-two.
