Altrincham held off a spirited Aldershot fightback to earn a 3-2 home victory in the National League.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Kahrel Reddin finished at the back post following Keaton Ward’s initial effort.
Reddin turned creator as the Robins doubled their advantage midway through the first half, crossing for Lewis Banks to nod home.
Aldershot halved the deficit 10 minutes after the break as Matt Penney headed in Theo Widdrington’s cross.
The Shots were level with 14 minutes to play when Josh Barrett found James Clarridge and he scored at the second attempt.
But two minutes later Jimmy Knowles latched on to a knockdown to clinch three points for Altrincham.
