Bermuda Longtail surely has more to offer after her second-placed finish in the Listed Sky Bet Fillies’ Stakes at York.
Andrew Balding’s bay was beaten just half a length under William Buick at 16-1, finding only Jane Chapple-Hyam’s Kon Tiki too good on the Knavesmire.
That filly was at one stage a 1000 Guineas possible and may ultimately be Falmouth Stakes-bound so is clearly well regarded, with Bermuda Longtail therefore acquitting herself well on her turf debut after three encouraging runs on the all-weather.
