Alex Reid scored the only goal as Wealdstone beat fellow National League strugglers Boston 1-0 to move out of the relegation zone at the expense of their opponents.
Wealdstone goalkeeper Dante Baptiste made an early save from Jai Rowe’s powerful effort but the home side went ahead in the 20th minute when Reid broke forward and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Boston’s Jordan Richards saw a long-range strike fly over the crossbar before the Stones had the chance to extend their lead but Max Kretzschmar was denied by Cameron Gregory.
Baptiste kept out Jimmy Knowles’ strike from a tight angle and Boston had another good chance when Jacob Hazel curled his effort wide before Reid nodded Kretzschmar’s free-kick off target late on.
