Aaron Morley nets second-half penalty winner as Bolton hit back to beat Orient

Aaron Morley netted a second-half penalty winner as Bolton claimed a 2-1 League One comeback victory over fellow play-off chasers Leyton Orient.

Midfielder Morley was spot on 15 minutes from time after Dom Ball tripped rival captain Josh Sheehan.

Orient took a 40th-minute lead when Charlie Kelman headed in his 15th goal of the campaign after Rarmani Edmonds-Green flicked on Azeem Abdulai’s cross.

Bolton have conceded first in all five of Steven Schumacher’s games since he replaced Ian Evatt as manager.

But for a third-successive league match, the Trotters responded. Jordi Osei-Tutu had Bolton’s first shot on target after 55 minutes.

Five minutes later, substitute Aaron Collins played in John McAtee, who netted his 10th goal of the season through goalkeeper Josh Keeley’s legs.

Morley’s 75th-minute penalty inflicted only Orient’s second defeat in 16 games and left the Londoners still searching for a first win at Bolton since 1970.

Despite victory, Wanderers remain outside the top six but only on goal difference, while Richie Wellens’ Orient still sit sixth.
