Goals from Armando Dobra, Ryan Colclough and Paddy Madden gave Chesterfield a 3-0 victory over Bromley.
The visitors played with 10 men for a large part of the game after having Omar Sowunmi sent off midway through the first half.
Bromley’s Louis Dennis fired in an early shot from distance which was saved by Max Thompson and Dobra then put an effort wide from the edge of the area.
Sowunmi was shown a straight red card following a foul on Tom Naylor in the 23rd minute. Bromley manager Andy Woodman also received a red card a minute later after protesting about the sending-off.
Darren Oldaker tested Bromley goalkeeper Grant Smith with a powerful 20-yard shot before Chesterfield took the lead.
The goal came when Dobra collected the ball just outside the area and beat Smith with a superb curling effort in the 36th minute.
Colclough added a second goal eight minutes from time, getting on the end of a Dobra cross to turn the ball past Smith after Paddy Madden won possession.
Madden completed the scoring after a great ball from John Fleck.
