Forest Green leave it late to earn a point at Altrincham

Substitute Christian Doidge scored a last-gasp equaliser as promotion hopefuls Forest Green extended their unbeaten run to 21 games in all competitions with a 1-1 National League draw at Altrincham.

Elliot Osborne fired over the crossbar midway through the first half as the Robins looked to double their lead, shortly after Tom Knowles found the side netting for the visitors.

Kyle McAllister came close to equalising before shooting over as the hour mark approached, while – moments later – Altrincham hit the post through Regan Linney but Doidge found the net via a deflection in the fourth minute of stoppage-time to rescue a point.
