MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon shared the points after a 0-0 draw in a game of few clear-cut chances at Stadium MK.
The hosts looked likelier to score but neither team could break the deadlock as Scott Lindsey’s men ended their losing streak at the hands of their rivals.
High-flying AFC Wimbledon arrived chasing a fourth straight league win and fourth successive victory over MK Dons.
But an MK Dons side who had lost their previous three games in League Two had the best chances of a scrappy first half, with Aaron Nemane having a shot blocked inside the opening 20 seconds before Scott Hogan and Luke Offord saw looping headers fail to result in goals.
After the break, Hogan’s strike was deflected just wide of the post while Joe White and Joe Tomlinson had shots blocked for the home side, but there were very few decent opportunities created by either team in the second half.
AFC Wimbledon nearly snatched victory right at the end after a mistake at the back let them charge through, only for Marcus Browne’s strike to be blocked before Alistair Smith blazed the final kick over the top.
