Owen Oseni’s second-half double helped ease Gateshead to a 4-1 win at Ebbsfleet and keep his side’s promotion bid on track.
Former Derby forward Oseni struck twice after first-half efforts from Callum Whelan and Luke Hannant had put Gateshead in control.
Ebbsfleet goalkeeper Mark Cousins produced a fine save to deny Hannant’s early long-range shot, but Gateshead took the lead with another effort from outside the penalty area from midfielder Whelan.
The visitors doubled their lead via a penalty five minutes before half-time, with Hannant converting after Oseni had been brought down in the area, and the latter then struck twice in six minutes before Tyler Cordner’s late consolation for Ebbsfleet.
