Jay Stansfield hit a brace to inspire Birmingham to a 2-1 comeback win away to Barnsley as the Blues moved within a point of league leaders Wycombe.
The Tykes had led through Paik Seung-Ho’s own goal but had to play the final 20 minutes with 10 men after Adam Phillips was sent off.
Barnsley’s first effort saw Stephen Humphrys set up Phillips, who skewed a shot wide from outside the box.
Ethan Laird headed straight at Tykes goalkeeper Ben Killip before Ryan Allsop saved well from Phillips’ powerful strike.
Barnsley almost went ahead early in the second half when Jon Russell’s header was cleared off the line by Paik.
Chris Davies’ side then took the lead after 58 minutes when Humphrys’ low strike ricocheted in off Paik for an own goal.
Stansfield levelled in style two minutes later, finding the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.
Phillips was shown a second yellow card for a foul on Laird before Stansfield headed home the winner in the 79th minute from Paik’s corner.
