Salford secured their first League Two victory since late October by beating Harrogate 2-0.
Ben Woodburn gave the hosts a 10th-minute lead before Cole Stockton struck midway through the second half for his fifth goal of the season.
Warren Burrell could have put the visitors ahead within two minutes but the Harrogate captain blazed wide from a few yards out after pouncing on the rebound of Jasper Moon’s initial shot.
Salford took advantage of that miss shortly after as Woodburn picked his spot from close range, latching on to the ball after Tyrese Fornah’s bursting run down the left.
The hosts controlled most of the first half with Woodburn pulling an attempt wide after 21 minutes before Kelly N’mai bundled the ball home just before the break, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
Salford continued their domination into the second half and rubber-stamped a first league win in four games in the 72nd minute when Stockton netted from inside the six-yard box after latching on to Haji Mnoga’s pass.
