Leaders Barnet beaten at Solihull but remain top

Barnet remained top of the National League despite seeing their six-match winning run came to a halt with a 4-3 defeat at Solihull.

Nicke Kabamba put the Bees ahead in the 12th minute, smashing into the bottom corner from outside the box.

But Moors turned the game around with two goals in the space of three minutes.

Jack Stevens headed in Jamey Osborne’s free-kick in the 36th minute and Bradley Stevenson turned home after fine work from debutant Michael Adu-Poku.

Sam Bowen tapped into the empty net after taking the ball around goalkeeper Nick Hayes in the 54th minute and James Gale added a fourth with 15 minutes remaining, firing in after a shot was blocked.

Barnet set up a grandstand finish with goals at the death, with Zak Brunt’s screamer followed by Kabamba’s sixth goal in five games, but it proved in vain.
