Rakish Bingham got new Ebbsfleet manager Harry Watling off to the perfect start as he fired the club to a first victory of the season at the ninth attempt.
Anthony Mancini and Joe Grey both went close for the visitors early on, but Ben Chapman and Lewis Page threatened for the hosts.
Ebbsfleet went ahead when Pools old boy Bingham fired them into the lead five minutes before the break with their first goal in five games.
Dan Dodds came close to an equaliser for Darren Sarll’s men 12 minutes after the restart and striker Mani Dieseruvwe passed up a glorious opportunity as time ran down.
However, Chapman and Greg Cundle might have increased Ebbsfleet’s advantage as they held on to claim a 1-0 win.
