THE LIMERICK national league basketball teams will be hoping to keep their strong start to the season going as they prepare for the second weekend of games.

In the InsureMyVan.ie men's national league Limerick Sport Eagles are on the road again away to Scotts Lakers Killarney. They had a strong 100-82 victory over Titans BC in their first game of the season.

Eagles face Lakers on Saturday, October 7, at 7:30pm in Killarney Sports & Leisure Centre.

Limerick Celtics had to abandon their game last weekend due to condensation on the court and will be hoping for a stronger performance when they host SETU Carlow this Sunday at 3:15pm at Crescent College.

Both Limerick teams in the MissQuote.ie women's national league are away this weekend after wins in their opening games of the season.

Limerick Sport Huskies had a confident performance against Tolka Rovers last weekend and will face Marble City Hawks of Kilkenny on Saturday at 7:00pm in O'Loughlin Gaels GAA Club.

The final team in action this weekend, Limerick Celtics women's team, will face the ever strong St Pauls Killarney on Saturday at 4:30pm in Killarney Sports & Leisure Centre.
