TREATY Utd are set to honour the 1973 Limerick county women's team on their 50th anniversary of winning the first ever League of Ireland(LOI) competition.
The 1973 team will be commended before the Treaty's women's home game against Galway this Saturday, September 30, with kick-off at 5pm.
Treaty Utd are inviting the Limerick Ladies into the hospitality room at the Markets Field in Garryowen from 4pm this weekend, where they will meet sponsored player Katie Lawlee, who plays for Treaty Utd's women team and is also an accomplished underage Irish international.
This event coincides with six of the Limerick ladies, who were also on the Limerick county team, getting their first International caps for Ireland.
On top of the 50th anniversary of winning the LOI with Limerick county, these ladies also featured on the first ever Republic of Ireland women's team, trail-blazing the way for females to continue to strive for International success with Irish soccer.
