LIMERICK'S All-Star hurdler Sarah Lavin has guaranteed her spot in the semi-finals of the women's 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.
Lavin took the third automatic qualifying spot in the first of five heats in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.69.
After a false start, the Emerald AC athlete ran a fantastic race from lane two, which didn't seem to effect her race.
Jamaica's Ackera Nugent won the first heat with a time of 12.60, followed by America's Masai Russell and then Ireland's Sarah Lavin.
There will be four automatic qualifiers from each heat that will race again in the semi-final at 7.40pm Irish time on Wednesday.
If Sarah continues her impressive run of form she may be in with a chance of competing for a World athletics medal in the final taking place at 8.25pm Irish time on Thursday evening.
A total of 24 Irish athletes will take to competition alongside over 2,000 athletes from 200 countries.
