Captain’s Prizes 2023: The flash floods of June 17 forced the abandonment of the 2023 Captains Prizes at Ballyneety Golf Club so there was relief all around when the re-fixed competitions went off without a hitch recently. Aloma O'Halloran (23 h/cap) with a great score of 40 points was a very popular winner of Lady Captain Mary Lipper’s Prize. Neil Coakley (18 h/cap) was the leading qualifier in Gerry O'Neill’s Prize with 40 points and he duly completed the task in the 9 hole play off to win with a total of 58 points.
