TREATY United face into two key figures this Bank Holiday weekend.

Starting this Friday evening when Tommy Barrett's side entertain Longford Town in the Markets Field at 7.45.

When the sides met back in May, the Limerick side were 3-0 winners with two goals for Enda Curran.

This August 4 tie already has the look of a must-win tie.

The Limerick senior soccer side fell to a 1-0 defeat to Wexford in the SSE Airtricity League First Division last weekend. That win for Wexford and a victory for Finn Harps saw Treaty Utd lose ground in the battle for a play-off spot.
Treaty are now eighth in the First Division league table.

Another defeat would see Treaty with just struggling Kerry FC beneath them in the league table.

However, such is the tight nature of the division that Treaty are also still just six points off fourth place and the Limerick side have a game in game - against Waterford FC.

It's going to be a busy August Bank Holiday weekend of fixtures in the SSE Airtricity League with another full list set for Monday August 7 when Treaty Utd journey up the west coast to play league leaders Galway Utd.

Treaty will have Darren Nwankwo back available for this evening's tie.

Last Friday's trip to the south-east saw Treaty include two newcomers in their matchday squad - midfielder Adam Lennon making his debut in the second half. Lennon joined Treaty from Athlone Town.

Also in the squad to play Wexford was another new recruit Dean O'Shea - a former Bray Wanderers, Galway United and Athlone Town player.

The Limerick senior soccer club also announced the signing of goalkeeper Corey Chambers last Friday afternoon.
