Leyton Orient lifted the Sky Bet League Two title following their 2-0 home win over Crewe.
A penalty after 51 minutes by George Moncur before Charlie Kelman doubled the lead on 77 minutes guaranteed the title in front of a passionate Orient crowd already celebrating the club’s return to League One for the first time since 2014-15.
Paul Smyth and Moncur tested Crewe goalkeeper David Richards in the first half although it was the visitors’ Chris Long who came closest to breaking the deadlock when he beat the offside trap but then blazed his shot high over the bar.
The hosts went ahead when Darren Pratley and Daniel Agyei tangled in the box as they competed for a loose ball and Moncur stepped up to slam home his ninth goal of the season and fifth from the penalty spot.
Orient were then gifted the goal that put the points beyond doubt when a terrible misunderstanding between Richards and Luke Offord left the ball in the path of Kelman who strode on and slipped the ball into an empty net.
