Treaty Utd look to earn back-to-back wins as they journey to play Finn Harps

Treaty Utd manager Tommy Barrett

TREATY United will look to make it back-to-back wins in the SSE Airtricity League First Division this Friday night when making the long trip to Ballybofey to face Finn Harps at Finn Park, 8pm.

Treaty United secured their first win of the campaign on Good Friday when edging past Longford Town 3-2 at the Markets Field, thanks to a late Dean George goal.

While Treaty United remain in ninth place in the table despite their win over Longford, Friday's opponents Finn Harps sit just one point above Tommy Barrett's charges in the table.

Reflecting on their first win of the campaign against Longford, Treaty boss Barrett said: “To get the win is massive, it's huge. We didn't play particularly brilliant tonight and you have to earn it in this Division, whoever we play we have to be on it, we have to be at it and we weren't in patches. We have improvements to make and hopefully we can keep it a bit tighter. I'm not happy with the goals we conceded and the chances we conceded, so hopefully in the coming weeks we can cut that out.

“We will go up to Finn Harps on Friday and hope to get a result. We've been very good away from home. Galway beat us 1-0, fair enough, but the other games we played we got results in.

“Hopefully we can go up and get a result next Friday.”
