LIMERICK'S Munster Senior Hurling Championship clash with Waterford will not take place in Walsh Park it has been confirmed.
The Waterford county board released a statement saying that due to ongoing redevelopment works at the venue, inter-county games would not be able to take place.
They further confirmed that they are currently in talks with Croke Park and the Munster Council about alternative venues for their Allianz Hurling League games and Munster fixtures.
Limerick had been due to play the Deise at Walsh Park in the Munster SHC on April 23 but an alternative venue must be found for that game and Waterford's other scheduled home game with Clare on May 13.
A similar situation emerged back in 2018 when Waterford played their home Munster Championship games in both the TUS Gaelic Grounds (against Tipperary) and in Semple Stadium (against Cork).
