The Vhi 360 Health Clinic Centre in Raheen Business Park is open to all Vhi members from 8am to 9pm seven days a week
Vhi has issued a reminder of the urgent care services available to its members in Limerick and the wider Mid-West region at its Vhi 360 Health Clinic Centre, located in Raheen Business Park in Limerick.
The Centre is open to all Vhi members from 8am to 9pm seven days a week and offers rapid access to urgent care for minor injury and illness, as well as a range of health and wellbeing services delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
The 700 square metre facility provides high quality healthcare to Vhi members in the Mid-West 365 days of the year, employing over 20 experienced staff across a range of disciplines including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists and Health Coaches.
“This state-of-art facility, which was opened in 2020, provides innovative, customer-focused services and is designed to address gaps in the Irish healthcare system by helping to deliver a more efficient and better patient experience” says Lynda Keaveney, Chief Clinical Officer for Vhi Health & Wellbeing (pictured below).”
A wide range of minor illnesses and injuries can be treated at the facility including suspected fractures and dislocations; sprains and other soft tissue injuries; lacerations that need stitches or dressing; removal of objects from skin and ears; joint, muscle or back pain; wound care; minor burns; eye and ear conditions, minor infections i.e. UTIs, sinus and more as well as minor gynaecological issues.
Reflecting on the current high levels of demand for healthcare services in the Mid-West, Ms Keaveney has highlighted the importance that the facility can play in alleviating pressure on public healthcare services.
“For many reasons people often choose hospital as their primary location to go to for what would be described as minor illnesses or injuries. We wanted to remind people about the access to urgent care services available through the Vhi 360 Health Centre in Limerick and the wider Mid-West region,” she added.
In addition to urgent care supports, the facility also offers physiotherapy, radiology and orthopaedic follow up.
Looking ahead, Lynda Keaveney hopes that all Vhi members in the region will consider making use of the services when needed.
“We are open seven days a week from 8am to 9pm to all Vhi members who may have a minor injury or illness and hope that people can avail of these services in the coming days and into the future.”
