BRIGHTENING up this morning with sunny spells and scattered showers.
Some heavy showers may develop with the chance of thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in light to moderate southeasterly winds, forecasts Met Eireann.
National Outlook
Clear spells and showers at first on Monday night. Outbreaks of rain will spread across the eastern half of the country later, possibly turning heavy in places. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in light to moderate easterly winds, freshening on eastern coasts later.
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain over the eastern half of the country on Tuesday. It will be brighter further west with sunny spells and showers, some of which may turn heavy. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in light to moderate northeasterly winds.
A mainly cloudy night Tuesday night with scattered outbreaks of rain. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate northerly winds.

Cloudy for most on Wednesday with showery rain spreading from the north, with some heavy falls. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh northerly winds.
Any remaining rain will clear southwards on Thursday with sunny spells and showers following from the north. A much cooler day with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in moderate northerly winds.
The further outlook suggests cooler conditions for Friday and the weekend with sunny spells and showers from the northwest.
