A NUMBER of Limerick underage rugby players have been named on the Irish training squads which will take place during Christmas.
A total of six Limerick players have been picked on the U19 training squad while a further four have been chosen on the U18 team.
Dylan Hicks (Garryowen RFC), Emmett Calvey (Shannon RFC), Jed O’Dwyer (Old Crescent RFC), Luke Murphy (Shannon RFC), Matthew Te Pou (St. Munchins) and Oisin Minogue (St. Munchins) are the Limerick based players named on the U19 Irish training squad.
The Limerick players on the U18 squad are as follows: Charlie Fenton (Crescent College Comp), Jamie Conway (Castletroy College), Jonathan Byrne (Crescent College Comp) and Tom Wood (St. Munchins College).
The Ireland U19s will also have further training camps ahead of a series of matches against France and Wales in April.
This is the second of a series of training camps for the Ireland U18s that will build up to a final squad for the U18 Six Nations Festival which takes place in March and April next year.
Neil Doak and Brendan O’Connor will coach the U18s while Kieran Hallett, Andew Browne and Jonathan Graham will take charge of the U19s at the camps.
